25

On April 18th I turned 25. It was a pretty good birthday this year. I got some awesome gifts. My amazing mother took me to go get a pedicure. I love getting pedicures with my mom. One of my favorite things I think. I love my new toes. Thanks mom!!!!

My mother in law got me several things. The biggest was a Paraffin wax warmer and some Paraffin wax. If you ever  go get a pedicure and they put this was stuff on your feet, that is Paraffin wax. It is super moisturizing. It's awesome for the exima on my aweful feet. I will totally use it. She also got me pink robe, some pink flip flops and an amazing smelling candle.

My sister inlaw, Katie, got me some seriously cute tops from Buckle. I love them.

she got me this off white coat thing that I can probably wear with anything.
And this cute shirt that I wore twice last week.

My friend megan gave me a white pearl and Swarovski crystal necklace that is Gorgeous. I wore it with my cute pink shirt from Buckle.

My amazingly easy forever friend from Highschool, Ashley Palmer Whittaker, gave me a gift card to Outback. How did she know it's one of my favorite places? She's just that kind of friend.
My brother in law Keving  got me a gift card to California Pizza Kitchen. Another one of my favorite places to eat. Kevin, knowing my fondness for amazing words from amazing prophets, also gave me a great cd with popular talks by the prophets. It will definately come in handy for future talks and lessons.
Several of my  good friends took me out for a birthday lunch as well. I had Tiffany and Todd take me to IHOP and my friend Ashley Pederson took me to Olive Garden.

Several other friends gifted me with there presence at my hoouse on my birthday for a little get together. It was a ton of fun. We played games and ate delicious pizza hut, pizza. I had a pretty darn good birthday this year. My husband took me to see 17 Again where we got 4 tickets to see a preview showing of GI Joe. He also bought me a beautiful bouqet of flowers and some gift certificates to the Broadway Palms dinner Theater for a future date. Amazing right? I am one lucky girl. Oh, and my family had  dinner on Sunday and I got raspberry delight for dessert. Yum! Thank you everyone for making me feel so amazingly loved of my birthday! I'm a quarter of a century old!

Alot

There's been alot going on and I should have blogged a while ago. But,.... Life happens. Here we go.

It was my dad's birthday on April 17th. My mom wanted to celebrate, so a bunch of us got together. We hit up the cemetary and then we went back home for good food. We had some Joe'ss Reall BBQ pulled pork and chicken sandwiches and some Vito's pizza. It was  delicious.

This is my dad's grave ston. He died in October of 05. Motorcycle accident. Someone shouldn't have turned left when they did and he was smashed. Yes, he had his helmet on. Yes, he was doing everything to be as safe as possible. And yes, he still died.
The picture on his grave stone. The night he died it took the cops 3 hours to track my mom down. My parents were in a situation with two houses and at the time my dad lived one and my mom and I in the other. My mom had sleepovers with my dad but on that night she was with me. The only person my cops had to get info was my brother Russell. For those of you who know me, that my USOS brother. He wasn't much help so it took them a while to get to my mom.
Most of the girls at the cemetary. At 10:30 on october 26thh 2005 this is what  happend.

My mom went to bed at 10 and I stayed up a little later. At 10:30 there was a knock on our door. It was odd because anyone who knows us knew that we go to bed early. So, I answered the door. There stood two cops.

Me: Hello

Cop: Is your mom available?

Me: She's asleep. Can I help you.

Cop: No mam. We need to speak with your mother, could you please go wake her.

Me: Oh come on, who's dead....

Cop: Mam, we really need you to go get your mother.

So I did. She woke up they told us what  had happend and then the family got together and the cops followed us to my sister Rebecca's house. The cops followed us and spoke to my whole family. One of the cops was LDS and had asked who our bishop was and contacted him as well.
Another one of us. Yes, I know I'm yucky. I had no make up on and didn't do anything but brush my hair.

So after my family  knew, my mom called the two out of staters and informed them as well. After a while my mom decided she wanted to see my dad. Then it got even more painful. The cop informed us that they had already released his body to the morgue and that once it was there we couldn't see it until it was released to the funeral home. I was on the phone with the cops and the morgue until prrobably 2 or 3 am. I was bound and determined to get my mom there. I'll tell you, that is the one system I could not work over. They wouldn't budge and my mom couldn't see her husband for another 3 days.
I did my dads hair for his viewing and funeral. I had just cut it about a week before he died.

This is tiny baby. AKA Abigail Macnab. She is a grand daughter of my dad whom he never got to know in his time hear on earth. I believe my dad is up there playing with all the rest of the babies doomed and blessed to be a part of this family. He's telling them all about us and playing and making them laugh. Preparing them for what is to come.
I also believe my dad is secure in the Celestial Kingdom which is a huge blessing. He was strong enough, not perfect, but strong enough to be rebaptized 6 months before he died. So, on the plus side, it was actually good timing. I also know that he watches and  visits every member of his family regularly. He visits most of us in our dreams too.
Happy Birthday Dad!

Then there was Easter. I had to sing a solo in Sacrament  on Easter Sunday. I didn't know what to sing so I asked my twin sister Cassie and she recommended 'Mercy's Arms' for me to sing. So, that is what I sang.

No, I do not sing, so don't ask me to. I had to feel cute if I was going to sing a solo so, I searched and searched for a cute, cheap Easter dress for me to feel cute in.
I finally found this sweet thing at Walmart at 11:00pm. Walmart was supposed to close at 10 that Saturday for Easter Sunday and I got there at about 9:45 to pick up a few last minute items. I thought I peek at the dresses for a last stitch effort and I found this  dress. It was an Easter dress and already on sale because they had already marked all of the easter stuff down. It was sleeveless so I grabbed this cute yellow sweater to go over it. I felt old fashioned and beautiful. To complete my try at a 40's look my mom lent me her pearls.
I loved it. I was still nervous for my solo but felt cute all day. Me and Bryce.

Lastly, Donut had another set of kittens. After we moved we forgot how easy she is and forgot to spay her. Then one day she was just huge.

This was donut favorite place and position.

We had the dryer all set up with pillows and towels for whenever she decided to have her babies. On May 13th she came and told me and my mom she was ready. She's  a very talkative cat. We followed her and we were surprised to be taken to my closet. Now that she had us she settled in and started contracting.

She had her babied in our clothes hamper in our closet. She didn't start until about 10:30 at night and none of us wanted to stay up with her so we went to sleep and left her to it.

We woke up to 4 rather ugly babies. They were not pretty. I was afraid we actually had an ugly batch on our hands.

Fortunately, they all cutified. They became very pretty babies.

Lyme diseast or Carcinoid tumor?

I am finally seeing my old doctor, Dr. Randall Craig. He is the only Reproductive endocrinologist in all off Arizona. He referrs to himself as the only Medical Sherlock Holmes left in Arizona. He's right. He hasn't been covered by my insurannce so I've seen everyone but him. Well, I finally decided to see him out of pocket. On the bright side, he dropped his fee by more then 50% and now we're covered by Aetna and he takes that so I only had to pay once. Once, he heard my symptoms and the results of the test that have already been taken his first diognostic ideas are either Lyme disease or a Carcinoid Tumor.

Turns out Carcinoid tumors usually show up in your small intestine. They create different symptoms depending on what or who's body they are in. He said that Carcinoid tumor are the greatest imitators. They imitate all the wrong things your body naturally does. More specifically your hormones. If you have cushings disease that causes you to overproduce Cortisol a carcinoid tumor will imitate that. Then the next day it can imitate something else and throw all new systems out of wack. Because there is no petuitary gland to stop it, it just wreaks havoc on every system in your body. Especially if you already have bad systems like I do.

Good news is that an instant cure for this is to remove the tumor. Yay! Bad news is that if the tumor has reached one inch in size, chances are good that it has spread. Why my gastrointerologist didn't see a one inch tumor in my small intestine and think to test for carcinoid is beyond me. Below is a little info on Carcinoid tumors.

General Information About Gastrointestinal Carcinoid TumorsA gastrointestinal carcinoid tumor is cancer that forms in the lining of the gastrointestinal tract.
The gastrointestinal tract includes the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. These organs are part of the digestive system, which processes nutrients (vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and water) in foods that are eaten and helps pass waste material out of the body. Gastrointestinal carcinoid tumors develop from a certain type of hormone-making cell in the lining of the gastrointestinal tract. These cells produce hormones that help regulate digestive juices and the muscles used in moving food through the stomach and intestines. A gastrointestinal carcinoid tumor may also produce hormones. Carcinoid tumors that start in the rectum (the last several inches of the large intestine) usually do not produce hormones.
Gastrointestinal carcinoid tumors grow slowly. Most of them occur in the appendix (an organ attached to the large intestine), small intestine, and rectum. It is common for more than one tumor to develop in the small intestine. Having a carcinoid tumor increases a person's chance of getting other cancers in the digestive system, either at the same time or later.

Carcinoid syndrome
Definition

Carcinoid syndrome is a group of symptoms associated with carcinoid tumor (see bronchial adenoma).
Causes
Carcinoid syndrome is the pattern of symptoms seen in people with carcinoid tumors. These tumors may occur in the small intestine, colon, bronchial tubes, or appendix.
Carcinoid tumors secrete excessive amounts of the hormone serotonin as well as other chemicals that cause the blood vessels to dilate (open). These tumors may also cause diarrhea and wheezing (asthma).
There are wide variations in the chemicals secreted by these tumors, and the symptoms depend on the mix of chemicals made by the particular tumor.
Normally, an amino acid called tryptophan is used by the body to make niacin and certain proteins, but in carcinoid syndrome, it forms serotonin instead. Most serotonin is changed by the body to 5-hydroxy indole acetic acid (5-HIAA).

The other is Lyme Disease. Me and Bryce have been camping a few times and Lyme disease could also be the problem. Lyme Disease is also curable but having been untreated for so long can have permanent effects. Here is some info Lyme Disease.

Lyme disease

Lyme DiseaseClassification and external resources

Lyme disease, or borreliosis, is an emerging infectious disease caused by at least three species of bacteria belonging to the genus Borrelia.[1] Borrelia burgdorferi is the predominant cause of Lyme disease in the United States, whereas Borrelia afzelii and Borrelia garinii are implicated in most European cases.

Lyme disease is the most common tick-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. Borrelia is transmitted to humans by the bite of infected ticks belonging to certain species of the genus Ixodes (the hard-bodied 'hard ticks').[2] Early manifestations of infection may include fever, headache, fatigue, depression, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans. Left untreated, late manifestations involving the joints, heart, and nervous system can occur. In most cases, the infection and its symptoms are eliminated with antibiotics, especially if diagnosis and treatment occur early in the course of illness. Late, delayed, or inadequate treatment can lead to late manifestations of Lyme disease which can be disabling and difficult to treat.[3]
Some Lyme disease patients who have completed a course of antibiotic treatment continue to have symptoms such as severe fatigue, sleep disturbance, and cognitive difficulties. Some groups have argued that "chronic" Lyme disease is responsible for a range of medically unexplained symptoms beyond the objectively recognized manifestations of late Lyme disease, and that additional, long-term antibiotic treatment is warranted in such cases.[4] Of four randomized controlled trials of long-term ceftriaxone and doxycycline treatment courses in patients with ongoing symptoms, two found no benefit,[5][6] and two found inconsistent benefits and significant side effects and risks from further antibiotic treatment.[7][8][9] Most expert groups including the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American Academy of Neurology have found that existing scientific evidence does not support a role for Borrelia nor ongoing antibiotic treatment in such cases.[10][11]

[edit] Stage 3 – Late persistent infection

After several months, untreated or inadequately treated patients may go on to develop severe and chronic symptoms affecting many organs of the body including the brain, nerves, eyes, joints and heart. Myriad disabling symptoms can occur.
Chronic neurologic symptoms occur in up to 5% of untreated patients.[17] A polyneuropathy manifested primarily as shooting pains, numbness, and tingling in the hands or feet may develop. A neurologic syndrome called Lyme encephalopathy is associated with subtle cognitive problems such as difficulties with concentration and short term memory. Such patients may also experience profound fatigue.[22] Other problems such as depression and fibromyalgia are no more common in people who have been infected with Lyme than in the general population.[22][23] Chronic encephalomyelitis, which may be progressive, may involve cognitive impairment, weakness in the legs, awkward gait, facial palsy, bladder problems, vertigo, and back pain. In rare cases, frank psychosis has been attributed to chronic Lyme disease effects, including mis-diagnoses of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Panic attack and anxiety can occur, also delusional behavior, including somatoform delusions, sometimes accompanied by a depersonalization or derealization syndrome similar to what was seen in the past in the prodromal or early stages of general paresis.[24][25]
Lyme arthritis usually affects the knees.[26] In a minority of patients arthritis can occur in other joints, including the ankles, elbows, wrist, hips, and shoulders. Pain is often mild or moderate, usually with swelling at the involved joint. Baker's cysts may form and rupture. In some cases joint erosion occurs.

To be honest I would be grateful for either of these two things to be the problem. They could both be made better very quickly. I take tests to figures it out in the very near future, hopefully. Keep praying for me please and keep your fingers crosssed.
