I have a new job. I now work at Grand Canyon University as well as Tantrum Hair Salon. I will be doing on campus enrollment for GCU. I will continue to work at Tantrum on Tuesday and Thursday nights and all day Saturday. I started today with training. It should be a good job. This way Bryce can quit his bank job that provides our benefits and can work mainly for Microsoft. Which, we hope, will lead to a job after he graduates from school.

New toy

So, me and Bryce both had the day off yesterday. We decided to have a fun day and just play. Well, I got it into my head that we should get a new toy. We were at the mall and stoped at Game stop. It was there that I decided we should both get a Nintendo DS. My husband was not too thrilled with the idea. He's the kind of guy who likes to play his X box and Wii with other people in a group. I told him they would be good for the up coming car ride to California. He quikly came around when he realized we could go home and get all his old game crap and get credit at game stop and therefore pay very little for 2 DS's and a few games. So that's exactly what we did. I got the pink one and Bryce got the blue one. I'm a little ashamed to admit it but I think I'm more into it than he is. I got 2 games. The 2 shown below. I love to cook and my husband bought me Cooking Mama for our Wii for my birthday and I loved it so I got it for my DS. It is just as good on the DS. I love it. The other game is a puzzle game. It's like Tetris and Bejeweled on Steiroids. If your a puzzle person like me this is totally the game for you. it is super addicting though. I could play all day. It's worse cause I won't stop doing a puzzle util it gives me the trophy for puzzle genius. Which, doesn't usually take too long. It's awesome. I totally recomend the Nintendo DS even for you girls out there who hate video game because that's totally me. My family is totally going to make fun of me for this.

Father's Day

I just realized I have no pictures of my dad. My dad was killed in a motorcycle accident in October of 2005. So, I would just like to say a few things in tribute to my dad. My dad was a great man. He was definately not perfect. In fact, he was far from perfect. He had many trials in his life and a lot of it was brought on him by himself. Yet, he was a great man. When he worked, he was one of the best at what he did. He had 11 children and had, in more ways then one, played at least some role in making them who they are today. The last year I had with my dad was probably the best our relationship had ever been. In the end he overcame some of his most difficult trials and also gave my wonderful mother an awesome year of marriage. He loved her and spent that time showing her that he loved her. I am very greatful for that. I am very grateful for EVERYTHING my father taught me and greatful for that last year we had together. I believe all of us Proffitt children learned our manipulation and working the sysem skills from my Dad. Thomas Proffitt was very loving, very hard to deal with, generous, kind, selfish, ambitious, a loving father of 11 and a husband to 1. I miss him dearly and love him very much.

The Emma Smith movie

Last Monday for family night me and my in-laws went and saw the new Emma Smith movie. To be honest with you, I was totally disapointed. If you want the Sunday School story of Emma Smith, you'll love it. That, however, was not what I wanted. I didn't want all the stuff about her after Joseph died or even more of the Polygamy thing, I just wanted raw and real. I wanted more of Emma and less of Joseph. I wanted to hear it from Emma and not her daughter. I wanted to see her turn to the lord and not Joseph. I wanted to see her faith in the lord and the gospel and not just in Joseph. I wanted to see her internal torment and questions and thoughts of some of the comandments and things she was dealing with and see her learn and love the Lord and gospel in spite of it all. I didn't get any of that. Anyways, I definately recommend you go see it but personally I was disapointed.

Brithday present and new addition to the family

This is now what happens when I sit on the couch. ( I had something stuck in my eye, so I know I look retarded)
My birhtday was April 18th. I'm really slow at uploading pictures, I know. For my birthday my husband allowed me to get a puppy. I found a little female chihuahua in a bad situation and rescued her. I got her from a women who bought her to breed her and found out that puppies actually take work. She practically drop kicked my puppy while I was there. She was beaten alot and I'm pretty sure she didn't eat much. When I brought her home she ate a whole bowl of food and drank a whole bowl of water. I had to take them away from her so she wouldn't make herself sick. Then she went after my Salt and Vinegar chips. Poor thing. We named her Fergie because she's Fergalicious. No, it's just the only name that stuck. It just fit her personality. I've been with my vet for 4 years now and he said when he met Fergie that My Monty and My Fergie are perfect examples of how dogs react to how they're raised. Monty has never once mistrusted my vet or ever whined or howled out of fear of being hurt. He knows very well I won't let anything hurt him. When I took Ferfie to the vet for the first time you'd of thought we were killing her. She had tooth of her teeth missing that she should not have lost yet. We chalked it up to the abuse. I am happy to say that she is slowly but surely learning that from now on she will be spoiled rotten and will never be hurt. She's the sweetest thing and she's very smart. She already knows how to sit, lay and spin around. However, she's still very food anxious so you can't show her the treat or she just freaks out. She's little snuggle but and I love her. She's some how learned to sneak into our bed sometime in the middle of the night. Monty really like her too. Sometimes he hides his toys from her though.

More of the kitties

This is pancake. I see if I can get a better picture but doesn't she look like an ewok?

These videos were taken with my phone because we don't have a video camera. They're not the greatest but at least they're something.

Donuts Babies

So, when we got our cat Donut we called and made an appontment to get her spayed in June. Well, she just so happend, to get pregnant and have kittens before her appointment. She had 3 healthy babies. 2 are black and white and are boys and the third one is all black and she's a girl. I was texting my husband one day and I said " wht do you want to do tonight honey"? He said, " find donuts babies". I got home and donut came to say hi to us and she was Definatly thinner and her tail was definately yucky. We couldn't find the babies anywhere. I called an emergancy clinic and asked if was possible that the mother would eat the babies. Luckily, she said no. She told us to look everywhere because cat's could get into some pretty funny places to have their babies. So, we continued to look and I finally found donut with her babies in my dryer on my nice clean sheets. Needless to say I had to through my sheets away. Anyways, Here are the fruits of my cats labor. We have temporarily named them Dunken. B.C. ( Bosten Cream) and the little girl is Pancake. I'll have to get a good picture of her face because she looks just like an Ewok. They are 3 weeks old now. Anyone want a kitten in about 2 weeks?

Favorie Flowers

These are my all time favorite flowers. They are called Gerber Daisies or Gerbera Daisies. If I'm ever having a hard time. Gerber daisies always cheer me up. My favorite ones are the ones that are a different color on the inside then they are on the edges, like the pink and white one.

Crescent Rolls

Okay so, I tend to think that I am a pretty good cook. I especially really like to bake. Preferably working with doughs. Well, I went to Charlestons the other night with my husband and we of course got some of their fabulous crescent rolls. I thought to myself, " why don't I have a recipe for something like this"? It bothered me and continues to bother me. I can not find a recipe for crescent rolls like that anywhere. I mean Homemade ones totally from scratch of course.

I can make crescent rolls like this anytime anywhere.
But I can't make lighter than air flaky ones like this without a recipe or a hint of some kind.
Can anyone help a sister out? If you or anyone you know has a recipe for crescent rolls like this, I would love to have it?
