I want one of these.

Those of you who know me or grew up with me know that I love love love monkeys. I even have a monkey collection. My brother, Clark, even brought me home a coconut monkey from his mission. It was awesome. I've always said I will, one day, own a monkey. Fortunately, growing up my husband had the same desire. He, as well has always loved monkeys. So, why in the world have I never seen these before. They are called Marmocets. I discovered them on http://cuteoverload.com check it out. Now, let the asking a pleading with my husband for one begin. I figure if I start now, it's possible I'll actually have one in 5 years.

Oh Lexi my Lexi

Amidst all things horrible there is this most wonderful thing that proves God's love. Her name is Alexa, Lexi for short. Is she not one of the most beautiful little girls you've ever seen? I say one of because I have several other neices who are also very beautiful. This neice happens to be my twin sister's first little girl. She shares my middle name, Ruth. How can you deny there is something greater than us all when there are things in this world like her.

This first picture is now my screen saver at work. I have 9 of these looking back at me as I work all day.
No, those baby blues are not photo shopped. They are all hers.

Oh the pure joy of fall leaves.
For those of you who don't know, I can not have my own children so what more can I ask for then to be surrounded my so many children. Number 36 is on it's way. I have been an aunt since I was 8 years old. As a result if you ever see me sitting or just standing around, you will rarely see me sitting ir standing still. I tend to rock gently from side to side out of habit from having baby's in my arms. Especially in church.
I find joy in being the cool aunt. I always try to buy whatever they are selling for school and do their hair and whatever I can with them. My eldest nephew recently got his Eagle in scouts and as a kind of reward I gave him several options. Some of which were, buying pizza for him and some of his friends. Going shopping and letting him choose an item of his choice in the store. A gift certificate for him and a friend to see a movie. A gift certificate for him and a friend to go out to dinner. And lastly a double date with me and my husband and a girl his choosing. My 16 year old, awesome, nephew actually chose the double date with me and my husband. I should probably remind him that he has not yet cashed in on this reward, but I was honored that he would choose to spend time with me. Man I love my nieces and nephews. They're all so awesome.

Time Out For Women

I am lucky enough to have a most Wonderful sister in law named Margaret who let me know when and where this is event was this year. I've always seen women in my ward carrying around bags that say "Time Out For Women" on them. I've asked what it was and was always aswered with the most amazing responses. So, I decided to buy my ticket and go. It was wonderful. It was exactly what I needesd. This particular one was " Time Out For Women and Girls" so there were quite a few young women as well. I went with the idea that this was for me and me alone. I would spend whatever money I wanted to spend on things that would bring me joy because this was for me. I have decided to attend the event everytime is comes to Arizona or the state that I am living in at the time. My wonderful sister in law Margaret also went with 3 women friends from her Tucson ward and she brought her new baby Teichert as well. I got to hold, love and cuddle him all day. It was icing on the cake. I loved it. I bought 4 books.
This is the book that I have decided to read first. It's all about Wife do's and don'ts. So far so good.

My two favorite things were Jeny Jordan Frogley, the singer. I bought her CD with a bonus CD. 2 CD's for the price of one, what could be better. I love it. I think my favorite song right now is I leave the Harbor. Go to http://deseretbook.com/store/search?query=Jenny+Jordan+Frogley and check it out.

My other favorite was this guy. His name is John Hilton III. He was great. He spoke on "The Scriptures and You". It was definately what I needed to hear. He was hilarious too. I bought his book 'Please Pass the Scriptures'.
Tickets are already on sale for next years event. It's only $38 and you get a free bag and all you can get of spiritual comfort. Go here http://deseretbook.com/time-out to register for next year. I believe it's the weekend of October 8th and 9th.
