Oh Lexi my Lexi

Amidst all things horrible there is this most wonderful thing that proves God's love. Her name is Alexa, Lexi for short. Is she not one of the most beautiful little girls you've ever seen? I say one of because I have several other neices who are also very beautiful. This neice happens to be my twin sister's first little girl. She shares my middle name, Ruth. How can you deny there is something greater than us all when there are things in this world like her.

This first picture is now my screen saver at work. I have 9 of these looking back at me as I work all day.
No, those baby blues are not photo shopped. They are all hers.

Oh the pure joy of fall leaves.
For those of you who don't know, I can not have my own children so what more can I ask for then to be surrounded my so many children. Number 36 is on it's way. I have been an aunt since I was 8 years old. As a result if you ever see me sitting or just standing around, you will rarely see me sitting ir standing still. I tend to rock gently from side to side out of habit from having baby's in my arms. Especially in church.
I find joy in being the cool aunt. I always try to buy whatever they are selling for school and do their hair and whatever I can with them. My eldest nephew recently got his Eagle in scouts and as a kind of reward I gave him several options. Some of which were, buying pizza for him and some of his friends. Going shopping and letting him choose an item of his choice in the store. A gift certificate for him and a friend to see a movie. A gift certificate for him and a friend to go out to dinner. And lastly a double date with me and my husband and a girl his choosing. My 16 year old, awesome, nephew actually chose the double date with me and my husband. I should probably remind him that he has not yet cashed in on this reward, but I was honored that he would choose to spend time with me. Man I love my nieces and nephews. They're all so awesome.

That was so sweet! Thanks, Cal. And about the medical issue, I kind of went through a similar thing with my thyroid shortly before I was married. Let me know if you want to talk.
