The beach

We are going to California for our annual family trip on Friday. YAY! I can't tel you how excited I am. This is my favorite thing. Plus my mom is back and going with us again this year. It's going to be so much fun. We go and camp at a KOA. My family just kind of takes over a little area and stick together. We stay in tents and tent trailers. Tent trailers are a favorite in my family. I will surely post pictures when we get back. Ones that we take ourselves, not ones from the web like these.

This is the Beach that me and my family go to every day while we are in California. It's called Imperial beach. We wake up in the morning, eat breakfast, put our swimsuits on, pack lunch and go to the beach. We stay at the beach all day. It's wonderfu. Nothing planned. No, "I have to go here" " I have to go there" "I have to leave at this time or that time", just a whole lot of nothing but sitting and swimming at the beach. Sometimes we'll hit a theme park 1 day. Last year almost all of us went to Sea world. Going to California is my favorite thing in the whole world. I start looking forward to it in january.

My momma

My mom got back from her Mission in Germany on Friday night. I am sooooo happy to have her back. My mom is my best friend other than my husband. I love her very much. Welcome home mom!

The way I bring home the bacon

We sell Paul Mitchell, Bumble and Bumble and Goldwell products. I love them all. We also use the Goldwell color line. I love doing hair. Everything about it. I'm really good at it too. Right now I work Tuesdays and Thursday nights and Saturdays at the salon and then 8 hours a day on week days at GCU.

Oh Tantrum Hair Salon, how I love thee. I love my job at Tantrum. Hair is my calling in life.

I work for Grand Canyon University as an Enrollment Counselor for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. It's actually really good. I enjoy it alot. I also enjoy my team. It's a christian based University and a dry campus so that's really good. Our college of Nursing and Health Science is actually #1 in the west. I'm good at my job. I was actually just told today that I gave the best presentation for my college out of all my colleagues. Yay me! This is my email signature.

College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS)
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences is unlike any other in the Southwest. Our exceptional curriculum fuses academic and clinical rigor with Christian values to prepare you as a skilled, caring professional who will excel in meeting the challenges of a rapidly changing health care setting.
Become a NURSE and make a difference in the lives of others. Students who plan to become professional registered nurses (RN) can enter as freshman to begin the pre-requisites (or come later with transfer hours) for the nursing major. They will earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and be prepared for an exciting health care career. Our program's focus on leading, critical thinking, teaching and meeting spiritual needs fosters quality development of each student. Approximately thirty students are admitted to the major each Fall and Spring and begin clinical practice in the very first semester with nurse faculty in groups of 10 or fewer. Ask any nurse....we are proud of our graduates! (We also have an accelerated evening program for nurses who are already licensed R.N.'s but would like to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in as little as 57 weeks. You can see further information on this program by clicking here: RN/B option.)
Our traditional BSN program includes five semesters of clinical coursework to develop the student's skills from the beginning health care level to the professional level and to instill and develop leadership skills appropriate to the role of nurse in today's health care system.
As a result of rigorous training and hard work, our students have an exceptional record of success on the NCLEX-RN, the RN licensure examination. While we cannot guarantee employment after graduation, traditionally our graduates have been highly recruited by health care facilities.
Students wishing admission to the College of Nursing and Health Sciences must first be admitted to Grand Canyon University.

Life

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...it's learning to dance in the rain."

Oh life, don't you love it? Right now I do. If you know me you've probably heard my saying, which is, We were sent to this earth to suffer. At times I feel it is just a simple statement. We suffer and that's our purpose here on earth, to suffer, that's all. Other times, most of the time, when I am thinking rationally and not emotionally. I know that life is good. Without pain there would be no pleasure, without disapointment there would be no joy, without hard there wouldn't be easy, without frustration there would be no satisfaction, without work there would be no progress, without experiencing sadness we couldn't experience happiness, without lonliness we couldn't know love. Life is hard. If anyone gets that, it's me. But....I know good, I have felt pleasure, joy and satisfaction, I have had times of extreme happiness, and I have a knowledge of perfect love. I am grateful for all. Especially my mother and my husband and the rest of my family. Thank you.

( I did steal the picture and quote from a friends blog. Forgive me.)

4th of July in Prescott Arizona

For the 4th of July weekend we decided to go camping in Prescott. Camping is one of my favorite things. So us, and a few friends went and spent the night at a campgroung. We roasted hot dogs over the fire and played hearts. It was fun. As me and Bryce were on our way out we saw this big bizarre thing going on so we stopped and decided to hang out in town all day. The bizarre was great. There was yummy food like Fry bread, cotton candy and ice cream. There was all kinds of stuff too. It was awesome. It was like 80 degrees outside with a nice cool breaze. We crossed the streed to the town information center and saw a poster for a rodeo and decided we'd go. The rodeo was freaking awesome too. There was yummy food there too. We ate, we watched the competitions and ate some more. It even rained. Its was so so so nice. Me and my husband both agreed that it was the perfect weekend. I think we might go every year.

In Prescott there was this Bizarre going on in the main part of town. It was awesome. There was all kinds of things. Food, art, clothes, fun and everyone brought there dogs.

One of the greatest things I discovered in Prescott Is something called the Hairzing. It's this wonderful hair thing that takes the place of the butterfly clip. It may look difficult but it is actually as easy to use as a butterfly clip. I bought 5. They are awesome. There are video's on the website to show how to use it. The website is http://hairzing.com/. If you are a girl who wants an easy way to pull your hair up that is super pretty then definately check out the site. If you have any questions I'm here for you.

Wonderful new car

In April of 2007 I was in a car accident. After the car accident my husband and I bought a 2002 Nissan Sentra. My husband was driving an 86 Honda civic. It shortly died so he drove the Nissan and I drove whatever car was available in my family. We have been living that way for a year. I was driving my mother's Toyota Camry, but she gets home from her mission in Germany in 2 weeks. Yay! Anyways, I finally decided it was neccesary to get another car. We were putting it off until we got a settlement from the car accident. You see, in the car accident my seatbelt didn't catch and I was 4 day post-op. So I was pretty hurt. It's been a year now that my lawyer has been dealing with the scummy insurance company. Now, I still have to get a surgery and then after the surgery we should be able to settle. So, we bought a car and plan on paying it off within the next year with settlement money. Luckily I have a friend who knew a guy on the inside at Earnhardt. So I called and told him we wanted either a Honda Fit or a Nissan Versa. They didn't have any Fit's so we went with the Versa. I love it. There was Only one in all of Arizona. Because of the economy all the little, good gas mileage vehicles are hard to find. Anyways, our guy on the inside made it so that we got the vehicle at $100 over invoice. I actually got to look at the invoice. We bought the car, tax, title and license, and bought the gap insurance, and extra warranty and tire and some other insurance and still paid less than the sticker price. You know, the price on the little sheet in the window. Isn't that awesome? We got all the options even. It's great. We got a fabulous loan from Desert Schools too. Only 5.5% interest. The loan person told us that it's great that we plan on paying off the loan in a short time but that it would be good for us to let it go for a year and a half. Apparently having that kind of credit background is good for buying a house. So that's what we're going to do. We're just going to pay more then what's necessary each month so that we can pay down the principal and be done in a year and a half. We both have really good credit but why not make it a little better. Anyways, we love our new car. Here are some pictures. The only difference is that mine has cruise control and the radio buttons on the steering wheel.
